Holiday Make-Up Looks
Vian Studios’ series of blogs featuring individuals and their creativity is taking a turn to focus on the holidays! We partnered with Tarah Raineri, a local Seattle make-up artist who gave us 3 different holiday make-up looks in different Vian Studios face-masks, all of which are available for purchase on our website.
Thank you for partnering with us Tarah! What are you most excited about for the holiday season?
I always get super excited for the cold weather during the holiday season. Since traveling is frowned upon this year, I am hoping to get some time to drive up to the mountains and go snowboarding, and play in the snow while Face-timing with the family on my boyfriends iPhone.
What is a holiday food dish you are looking forward to?
Mashed potatoes and gravy with Hawaiian rolls. I wish I could eat the entire dish, but unfortunately I have to share with everyone else.
Do you have a go to eye makeup look since wearing face masks this year?
My go-to eye makeup look right now is a super sparkly golden brown on my lids with a darker matte crease. I love to apply white eyeliner in my water line to really open up my eyes and give an awakening look and then of course I slap mascara on my top and bottom lashes! For every look in these face-masks I used Kat Von D's cake eyeliner pencil in White Out. My favorite contour stick from the brand trèStique in Brazilian Bronze, and the Too Faced Dew You full coverage foundation in Nude. Those are my usual staples.
What advice would you give to aspiring make-up artists or estheticians?
Confidence is key! Don't ever give up. If for some reason you need to stop your profession and passion then just get back up and start where you left off. This industry is extremely competitive, but you'd be surprised at how happy others are with your work even when you don't think it's the best. Keep on keeping on!
