The simplest trick to a happy closet

it’s such a simple thing but makes a huge impact. Having hangers in your closet that look great will encourage you to keep or create order in your closet. It’s also a relatively inexpensive addition. Let’s talk about the dry cleaner hangers. How easy is it to bring home the dry cleaner hangers and use them over and over? Here are a few things to consider:

  1. They are ugly. Let’s have your closet be pretty and a place you love to look at.

  2. They aren’t healthy for your garments. Over time they’ll leave marks on the shoulders of lightweight garments.

  3. They can be recycled so just take them back to your dry cleaner.

  4. Over time your closet will fill up with them and they’ll be a mess.

  5. They don’t work with thin straps unless they’re safety pinned to the hanger or put on foam which will eventually disintegrate.

Is that not enough? How about it’s a stylist’s pet peeve. I want the best for your closet!

What kind of hangers? If space is limited go for the thin velvet hangers (Costco!) but always use thicker hangers for jackets as they need more support especially if it’s a heavier coat or a jacket with shoulder pads. Go for it and see how it transforms your space ❤️
