The "It" Dress of Summer
It might not be for everyone but easy-breezy dresses are the name of the game for summer 2022. Full length or midi has the most impact and color is the name of the game. Hot pink and rich, bright orange bring fun to the season. And if you know me, you know I’m going to find the perfect black summer dress and that’s what I did. See my photo below of the “Edith” dress from Velvet. It’s $150 and can easily be dressed up or down. It comes with a belt but who cares about cinching in the waist at this point, I’m leaving the belt behind. When I first saw it, I dismissed it as something I’ve already owned but after trying it on I realized there’s a new twist, it has an a-line hem. This dress feels new and different yet still timeless. Caftans are not my personal style but they are ubiquitous this summer. Talitha Getty brought fashion fame and glamour to the caftan in the 1970s and its back. For the post-pandemic world, caftans certainly hide a multitude of sins. My suggestion is to play around with different styles and colors and find the one that brings you joy ❤️
